Creepy Crawly Crud...

I have been off of here for a while for several reasons. First, and most importantly I've been sick, again. I had some friends coming in from out of town that I will get to in a minute, that were both suffering from some unknown ailment. So I went in and got my flu shot to be on the safe side. Then four days later when I actually came in contact with these people, and amidst all my safeguards, I still managed to get it. It started as a tickling in my throat, perhaps leading to sore throat (I thought). My tonsils were removed this past summer, and they told me I wouldn't get sore throats anymore....liars! Then it progressed into my chest and lungs as any good cold or case of pneumonia would do. Then came the constant expulsion of bloody mucus and sputum, but still no "head" cold symptoms, so I've been managing it at home. Then fevers, and laying in bed and sleeping 15-20 hours daily. On the bright side the blood stopped and has been replaced with the normal green, gross gunk that everyone gets with this type of chest cold. I am still not over it, and have threatened to go to the hospital everyday since I got it, but have found reasons not to go. Secondly, we've had company, kind of...but that's another story for another day...
